Ruben “Bad Boy” Warr released the beast in his BKFC debut.

Warr is 1-0 after his first-round KO over Lorenzo Coca at BKFC 59 on Friday, but the Louisville, KY fighter took home a lot more than just a win from his first trip to the Squared Circle at the sold-out Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque, NM.

That was Warr’s first professional fight since his most recent MMA bout in 2021 – and his first bout since he had to evade gunfire in a scary armed robbery attempt.

“It felt really good to get my hand raised because there’s so much hate directed to me,” Warr says.

“So many people in the state of Kentucky hate on me and doubt me, so it was nice to disappear from that drama and come back with the win. I think this win is going to shut people up.”

Warr’s body of work in combat sports includes 24 professional MMA fights. He loves MMA, but it sounds like bare knuckle might be an even better fit.

“I think that bare knuckle is more my style, more for me, just because I’m that dog,” says Warr, who will return to action against the undefeated Andrew Angelcor (3-0-1) at KnuckleMania 4 on April 27 at Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, LIVE on The BKFC App.

“I don’t care how hard you hit me; I’m going to be in your face, always moving forward, always pressing the action. That’s just who I am.”
