Michael Larrimore answers when opportunity knocks

Michael Larrimore always answers when opportunity knocks.

So when the call came in last Tuesday afternoon with the offer to fight at BKFC 53 on Friday of last week, there was no hesitation to accept.

They say fortune favors the brave, and it certainly worked out that way for Larrimore, who improved to 2-0 under the BKFC banner at BKFC 53 with a 61-second KO victory over Justin Watson.

“I’m pretty happy with my performance, but honestly I was hoping that my opponent would’ve gotten up and I could’ve got a more impressive finish,” the 25-year-old Tampa, FL fighter says. “It’s cool finishing my opponent with a jab and getting the win is the most important thing, of course, but I wanted to be in there a little longer and put on a bit more of a show.”

As always, Larrimore is staying ready – be it for a short-notice opportunity or a big fight to kick off 2024.

“If you ask me, I’m usually cool for whatever as long as that money is right,” he says with a smile. “I still want that Marcus Brimage fight, or somebody in the Top 10 or the Top 5, so let’s go.”
