Erick “El Travieso” Lozano has never turned down a fight.

That’s why he made his Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship debut against Lorenzo Hunt, and had his second BKFC fight against Francesco Ricchi. Both Hunt and Ricchi were well on their way to winning their respective BKFC World Championships at the time. Lozano’s third BKFC fight was against the battle-tested, fan-favorite Jake Bostwick.

Lozano’s combat resume also includes nearly 40 professional MMA fights, and he always had one response for matchmakers – “Send the contract.”

“I’ve always just fought whoever they’ve got for me. I’ll fight anyone at any time in any place. I just love it,” the Holland, MI fighter says.

“There are a lot of guys that worry too much about their opponent and don’t really take any risks, but to me it doesn’t matter. I don’t even really study my opponent – I just go out there and do me.”

Lozano returns to action at BKFC 56 on Dec. 2 in Salt Lake City, UT, LIVE on The BKFC App. He’s hunting for his second BKFC victory against Utah’s own Mike Jones, a heavy-handed MMA fighter making his Squared Circle debut.

“I’m used to being the underdog going into somebody else’s hometown. But I’m not the one you want coming into your backyard because I’ve pulled off a lot of upsets over the years,” he says.

“To me, it’s just fun. I just enjoy being out there, and I love feeding off the energy of the crowd, so they can boo me all they want.”

Lozano says the most likely outcome for fight night is simple.

“I don’t see it going past the second round.”
