Bill Albrecht makes his BKFC debut at the Albuquerque Prospect Series, and he will toe the line with Freddy Sandoval. Fighting at light heavyweight, the Oklahoma-based fighter will have his hands full as he attempts to rise through the ranks of a hard hitting and powerful division.
His MMA career spans ten years from 2007 to 2017 and he's fought some very high-level competition. Most notably, Albrecht fought the UFC middleweight champion, Sean Strickland in King of the Cage, a California regional promotion.
He has a strong BJJ/wrestler style with several armbars and triangles on his record and being an old school guy, his aggression and takedowns are solid as opposed to some of these newer BJJ guys who are dangerous on the ground but can't get it there. Why bring up BJJ in relation to a purely boxing match? He's going to use that physicality similar to how a wrestler would.
After a seven-year hiatus, the 46-year-old feels the need to scratch that "fight itch" and show these young guys how it's done.

Rules
Fighters are permitted to wrap and tape the wrist, thumb, and mid-hand. No gauze or tape can be within 1 inch of the knuckles.
Fighters will “Toe The Line” There are two lines, three feet apart, in the center of the ring where the fighters will start each round. The front foot will be on the line, and then the referee will instruct the fighters to “Knuckle Up” this means the beginning of the round/bout. More »
