Alfredo ‘Perro’ Angulo is a Mexican boxer with a professional record of 26-8 from 2005-2020. Angulo held the WBO interim light middleweight title from 2009 to 2010. He defended that belt once against Joel Julio via round 11 KO. He also became the WBC Continental Americas Super Welterweight champ in 2010 and the WBO Inter-Continental Super Welterweight champ in 2008.

In 2004, Angulo represented Mexico as an amateur in the Olympics at middleweight. Coming from a country that holds boxing in such high regard and possesses the deep talent pool that it does, it’s impressive to reach that level as an amateur. He has faced the likes of Canelo Alvarez, Sergio Mora, Every Bravo, Peter Quillin, James De La Rosa and so much more.

As Angulo’s nickname would imply, he’s a dog! This aggressive power-puncher likes to be first and last and has made a name for his pressure-heavy style. He will give his opponent’s striking very little respect and that makes for awesome fights!

Mexicans do a great job of propping each other up and supporting their people and Angulo is no different. He’s been working with Spanish broadcasting channels and helping raise the next generation of Mexican fighters. He trains constantly despite being formally retired from the boxing world and made his return without the gloves at the BKFC’s biggest card to date, KnuckleMania IV in Los Angeles.
