Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship will hold BKFC 20 from Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, Mississippi on Friday night. In the main event, a rematch between former bantamweight champion Johnny Bedford and Reggie Barnett Jr.


The two men first met at BKFC 6 with Bedford coming out on top. Tonight’s event will be for the vacant title after Dat Nguyen was stripped of the championship after refusing to face Barnett. Nguyen had won the title after defeating Bedford earlier this year.

Co-featured at BKFC-20, hometown favorite and former UFC standout, Alan ‘The Talent’ Belcher will make his BKFC debut in a middleweight fight against MMA veteran Tony ‘Kryptonite’ Lopez, of Yucaipa, CA..


In a special attraction heavyweight bout, popular Quentin ‘The Hero’ Henry, (2-1-0, 1 KO), of West Monroe, LA will face Jason ‘J Hook’em’ Fish, (2-0, 2 KOs), of Saginaw, MI.

‘Brutal’ Johnny Bedford, (7-1, 2 KOs), fighting like a man possessed from the opening bell, dropped Reggie Barnett, (6-2, 2 KOs), in the first round enroute to a unanimous decision victory in their highly anticipated rematch. Taking the win by scores of 48-46, 50-44 and 49-46 in a classic battle that truly lived up to its hype, Bedford regained the BKFC Bantamweight World Title he had previously lost to Dat Nyugen in a hotly contested fight at ‘KnuckleMania’ in February of this year.

 

Said Bedford after the match, “First I have to thank Dave Feldman from BKFC for making this all possible. Reggie came to fight but I was the better man tonight. I want the rematch with Dat Nyugen, that loss will never sit right with me and I need to fight him again.”

 

In the co-featured bout, Biloxi fan favorite Alan ‘The Talent’ Belcher, (1-0) was victorious in his BKFC debut over Tony ‘Kryptonite’ Lopez by scores of 50-45, 49-46 and 48-47 in their heavyweight bout. Belcher looked very impressive throughout the action-packed fight dominating the majority of the action against the valiant Lopez.


Also, in the heavyweight division, popular hard-swinging Quentin ‘The Hero’ Henry (3-1, 2 KOs), stopped Jason ‘J Hook’em’ Fish, (2-1, 2KOs), with a blistering attack resulting in the fight being called to a halt at the 0:36 mark of round two.

 

Dillion ‘Bad Boy’ Cleckler, (3-0, 3 KOs), wasted no time in his heavyweight fight with Justin Thornton, (0-1), earning the victory at 0:19 of the first round. Cleckler blasted Thornton with a massive right hand with the fight being stopped immediately as Thornton fell face first to the canvas.

 

Staying in the deep heavyweight division, Bobo O’Bannon, (3-1, 3 KOs), scored a fourth-round knockout of Lewis ‘The Beast’ Rumsey, (1-1, 1KO). Time of the stoppage was 0:33 of the stanza.

 

Competing in the 165lb. division, Mississippi native, Harris ‘Sandman’ Stephenson, (4-0, 2KOs), was awarded a victory by disqualification over Melvin ‘The Young Assassin’ Guillard, (0-3), as a result of an intentional foul.

 

Fighting In the lightweight division in a hotly contested fight featuring excellent two-way action throughout, Elvin ‘El Bandido’ Brito, (4-2, 1KOs), won a majority decision over Julio Garcia , (0-1). Scores were 48-48, 48-47 and 48-47.

 

Fighting in the 165lb. division, Mississippi’s Kaleb ‘Lionheart’ Harris, (4-3, 3KOs), returned against BKFC debuting, Derrick ‘Superman’ Findley, (0-1), winning by way of unanimous decision in their entertaining battle.

 

In the 185lb. division, fan favorite Scott ‘The Irish Spartan’ O’Shaughnessy, (2-0, 1KOs), was also victorious over David Simpson, (0-1) by unanimous decision.

 

Competing in the 155lb. division in an outstanding fight, Adam Pellerano, (3-1, 1 KO), defeated John ‘The Florida Keys Kid’ Chalbeck, (1-01 1KO) by split decision. Scores were 47-48, 48-47 and 49-46.

 

Battling in the 185lb. division, Ryan Jones, (2-1, 2 KO), knocked out Kaine Tomlinson Sr., (0-3), at 1:49 of the first round.

 

Opening the evening in the 155lb. division, Bobby Taylor, (3-0, 2KO), stopped Ronnie ‘Bam Bam’ Rogers, (1-1, 1KO), in the initial stanza at the 1:51 mark.
