Jimmie Rivera’s highly anticipated BKFC debut is in the books.
At BKFC 26 on Friday, the former UFC headliner fought to a majority draw with Howard “HD” Davis, the No. 1-ranked BKFC featherweight contender, in Hollywood, FL on the BKFC app.
“El Terror” feels good about his Squared Circle debut, but he doesn’t agree with the judges.
“I’ve got to give it to Davis; he’s a tough opponent and it was a fun time,” Rivera said.
“I believe I won the fight, but I know it’s tougher when you’re fighting the hometown favorite. Finally watching the fight over, the strikes for that 8-count I received in the third round were after the bell … Looking at the statistics of the fight, I landed more and threw more.”
One thing is certain; Rivera is hungry to toe the line again.
“I would love to get back in there again soon, hopefully September or October,” Rivera said. “It all depends on the boss man (David Feldman).”
