The wait is over, fight fans!
The first action-packed Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship event of 2023 goes down Friday in Myrtle Beach, SC, LIVE on The BKFC App from under the bright lights at John T. Rhodes Sports Center.
Major welterweight rankings implications are on the line in the Main Event, as unbeaten contenders Gorjan “GoGo” Slaveski (4-0, 3 KOs) and UFC vet Yosdenis “Pink Panther” Cedeno (2-0) throw down in our highly anticipated headline bout. Don’t blink when these undefeated welterweights enter the Squared Circle; they’re both hungry to kick off the BKFC calendar year with a statement win.
In the Co-Main Event, two hard-hitting bantamweights "drop their gloves" and cross over from MMA to BKFC for the first time. UFC vet Justin “Tank” Scoggins makes his highly anticipated Squared Circle debut against Bellator MMA vet Keith “The Rockstar” Richardson. Scoggins’ 13-6 MMA record includes nine trips to the UFC’s octagon and six knockouts. Richardson is 22-11 on the strength of four straight stoppage victories heading into his bare knuckle fighting debut in South Carolina.
Although the Main Event and Co-Main Event have fans counting down the seconds to Fight Night in Myrtle Beach, there’s no shortage of big-time matches throughout the rest of Friday’s event.
In the Feature Fight, Andy "The CrAsian" Nguyen looks to improve to 2-0 against Nekah Dmitriyeva (0-1) in a battle of fan-favorite strawweights. In lightweight action, Tony "Loco" Soto (3-0, 2 KOs) welcomes professional boxer Wayna Reid to the BKFC Squared Circle for the first time. Eight-time UFC vet Marcus “The Bama Beast” Brimage (0-0-1) hunts for his first win in the Squared Circle against the debuting Trevor Loken in the featherweight division. The top-ranked Canadian fighter on the BKFC roster, Devin Gibson (2-0, 1 KO), battles the scrappy Albert Inclan (0-1) in bantamweight action.
